The Panel meeting is held every spring. This year it was held in beautiful Iola, WI. The panel meeting serves many purposes including developing the next year's schedule, choosing new leaders, voting for various titles such as skier of the year, most improved, and best junior jumpers and nordic combined skiers. Also ideas are brought to the table to improve our sport in the next year.
A small group (the voted in committee members) meets Friday night to brainstorm ideas and make recommendations to the full panel the following day. Saturday includes the full panel which includes a voting delegate from each club. Many clubs send two representatives.
Much discussion took place on recruiting and retention with numbers in U16 and U20 being lower than past years. It is from this that my idea to start this website came. And once I get an idea I can super excited and not stop. So I made a website in a few days! Lol. I do really enjoy writing and am excited to get my camera out and take some pictures to include as well. I really hope everyone can find value in the content!
